Triangle Wine Experience, one of the largest wine events on the East Coast, celebrates 25 years!
RALEIGH, NC December 12, 2017 Triangle Wine Experience, one of the largest wine events on the East Coast, now celebrating twenty-five years, will be hosting an array of wine events February 1st-February 3rd 2018. The very popular Winery Dinners will take place at forty of the Triangle’s finest restaurants at 7p.m. on Thursday, February 1st. Wine tastings at various wine retailers like Taylor’s Wine Shop, Raleigh Wine Shop and Apex Fine Wine will be from 5pm-7pm on Friday, February 2nd. The Grand Auction & Gala, the signature event of Triangle Wine Experience, will be on Saturday, February 3rd at 5p.m. at the former Gander Mt. location in Park West Village in Morrisville. Twenty five years ago, a small group of individuals partnered with their friends in the wine industry to create an event to support the children of the Frankie Lemmon School. These humble beginnings have evolved into Triangle Wine Experience, one of the largest wine events on the East Coast which raises more than 1.6M for Frankie Lemmon School annually.
Forty of the Triangle’s best restaurants, including Angus Barn, Heron’s and Poole’s Diner are participating in this year’s Winery Dinners on Thursday, February 1st, at 7p.m. These Winery Dinners are such a popular tradition for area residents that more than half the tickets sold out in the first fourteen hours of ticket sales.
The signature event of Triangle Wine Experience, the Grand Auction & Gala will take place on Saturday, February 3rd at the former Gander Mountain location in Park West Village in Morrisville. More than six hundred people will attend the Gala donning black tie and ball gowns. Seventy of the world’s finest
wineries, including Continuum, Round Pond and William Cole, will be sampling their vintages along with more than fifteen premier chefs like Ashley Christensen, Scott Crawford and Vivian Howard providing culinary fare for Gala guests.

Triangle Wine Experience supports the Frankie Lemmon School and Development Center, providing comprehensive education and support for young children with developmental disabilities and typically developing peers.
