#GivingTuesday Campaign

Frankie Lemmon School is a NAEYC accredited, 5-star child development center that welcomes children ages 2-6 with and without disabilities. Our school provides inclusive classrooms and experiences, therapies and enrichment programs, all with low student-to-teacher ratios to ensure that each child’s needs are being fully met, and offering all children a sense of belonging, and an opportunity to reach their full potential.

We strive to deliver the highest-quality early learning experiences, wraparound care, and resources to each of our children and their families. Providing this level of comprehensive education to each Frankie Lemmon student costs roughly $45,000 each year. With State and County funding providing less than 30% of the funds needed to support the school each year, we rely on generous donors like YOU to help bridge the gap.

WHY FLS?!For me, it’s the profound impact that this school has on the day-to-day lives of our son, our family and his friends over the last three years. We have witnessed Henry grow leaps and bounds through a rigorous, personalized program, that pushes Henry to learn in ways never imaginable.

FLS mission is a world where children have the foundation to reach their full potential, and families have the knowledge and support to navigate the journey. Over the last 50 years, FLS has helped over 1500 kids of all abilities learn and grow, thereby creating a significant positive impact on our community as a whole.

As of this month, Henry started using some 3-word communication using his assistive device to convey his wants. He and his friends are learning how to count, regulate emotions, and even explore new places in our community with their “buddies.” Accomplishments like these, made possible by the personalized instruction and therapy provided by our FLS staff and teachers, empower families and create a sense of belonging. Let’s come together in creating a community that encourages opportunity for all!

WHAT can you do?!Frankie Lemmon would not exist without the support of our friends and family, and this year, we need your help more than ever! The state only covers about 1/3 of the cost of attendance per student per year and the rest (approximately $45,000 per student per year) is up to us! With your help, we’re hoping to raise over $180,000 for FLS, and I have set a personal goal of $10,000, which is the amount needed to provide speech therapy and assistive communication devices.

Here is what your donation can provide:$25 – Adapted Eating Utensils$50 – Books for Lemmon-Lending Library$100 – Adaptive Chair$250 – Alternative Communication Applications$500 – Sponsor a Parent Workshop$1,000 – Sponsor a School Field Trip$2,500 – Provide a New Laptop to a Teacher$5,000 – Sponsor Music Therapy for an Entire Semester

Thank you for your support and all that we can do together as a community to help educate and kids of all abilities. Please reach out with any questions!

With love,
