#GivingTuesday Campaign

Happy Thanksgiving!!

‘Tis the season of giving!! David and I would be honored to have you join us during this season and support The Frankie Lemmon School and Development Center on Giving Tuesday, which falls on November 30th, a little less than 1 week from today!

Over the last 6 years since David graduated from Frankie Lemmon, we have seen tremendous growth! His ability to communicate verbally and move about his environment (in the community, school and at home) wouldn’t be possible without the love, support, dedication, and care provided to him and us while he attended the absolute blessing that is the Frankie Lemmon School!

Being a parent of a child with special needs brings many many challenges – ones we never knew existed. The endless hours of therapy, numerous doctor appointments, mountains of tears from frustration & fear, and accommodations we make to everyday life were new to us. But with all of these challenges comes an intense amount of joy; joy that we know happens when the littlest of milestones is achieved. We’ve witnessed them first hand and the tears shed from them are tears of JOY. We still celebrate ALL the little things that little David has and will continue to experience and overcome as he grows in the weeks, months and years to come.

None of this would have been possible without the Frankie Lemmon School and it’s amazing teachers, therapists and staff. You see, it’s not just a school but a family.

Despite all the challenges of the past 18 months, Frankie Lemmon’s mission of celebrating and educating children of all abilities has not stopped! The staff has risen to the challenge to make sure that children with special needs receive their education and therapies at NO COST to their families. The pandemic has canceled a lot, but it has not canceled the good work of Frankie Lemmon.

Frankie Lemmon would not exist without the support of our friends and family, and this year, we need your help more than ever! The state only covers about 1/3 of the cost of attendance per student per year (approximately $32,000 per student per year)!

Your gift will provide:

$25 – Adaptive Feeding Utensils

$50 – Therapeutic Pressure Vest

$100 – Adapted Chair

$250 – GoTalk Communication Aid

$500 – Additional Cleaning and PPE Supplies for a Classroom

$1,000 – Stock a Classroom with Educational Supplies

$2,500 – Entire Year of Educational Supplies for 1 Classroom

$5,000 – SMART Board for Adaptive Learning

$10,000 – 1 Month Feeding Therapy for 4 Students

EVERY dollar is a step closer to helping our children blossom! We thank you in advance for your generosity and support of the children AND families of the Frankie Lemmon School!

With love,

Carolyn & David
